ChowTime With "Let's Go Eat"

HELLO EVERYONE, IT’S TIME AGAIN FOR ANOTHER INSTALLMENT OF CHOWTIME WITH “LET’S GO EAT”.

TODAY’S REVIEW IS A BIT OF A TRIP, BUT IN MY OPINION, WELL WORTH IT.  WE WENT TO THE PINE TREE GRILL, WHICH IS INSIDE THE RADISSON HOTEL AT THE ONIEDA CASINO IN GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN.

KAREN HAD ONE OF THE COMBO PLATTERS, HAVING A SIRLOIN STEAK (MEDIUM) AND BBQ CHICKEN, YUKON GOLD MASHED POTATOES, AND GRILLED ASPARAGUS.THE STEAK AND CHICKEN WERE BOTH TENDER AND FLAVORFUL. KAREN ALSO HAD A GLASS OF WHITE ZINFANDEL WITH HER DINNER.

I HAD THE JUMPING WALLEYE COOKED IN GARLIC BUTTER WITH A PRETZEL CRUST, YUKON GOLD MASHED POTATOES, AND GRILLED ASPARAGUS. VERY GOOD! (KAREN HATES FISH, AND SHE TRIED A TASTE OF MINE AND SAID IT WAS SO GOOD THAT SHE WOULD ORDER IT FOR HERSELF NEXT TIME – NOT BAD PRAISE FROM SOMEONE WHO HATES FISH!) I HAD A SEVEN & SEVEN WITH MY DINNER.

ALL DINNERS COME WITH A CHOICE OF 2 SIDES, WITH MANY TO CHOOSE FROM.  THE GRILLED ASPARAGUS IS $1.50 EXTRA, BUT WELL WORTH IT.  YOU ALSO GET DINNER ROLLS WITH GARLIC BUTTER.  DESSERTS WERE AWESOME. KAREN HAD TIRAMISU AND I HAD THE TOWERING CARROT CAKE, WHICH WAS HUGE ENOUGH FOR 3 PEOPLE TO SHARE.  WE ALSO HAD COFFEE WITH THE DESSERT.

THE PINE TREE GRILL ALSO HAS AN AWESOME BREAKFAST BRUNCH. RESERVATIONS ARE NOT NEEDED. PRICES ARE MODERATE. COZY ATMOSPHERE, AND THE STAFF IS FRIENDLY, COURTEOUS AND HONEST (KAREN HAD MADE A MISTAKE IN ADDING IN THE TIP, IN THE WAITER’S FAVOR, AND HE CORRECTED HER.)

IF YOU ARE STAYING AT THE RADISSON OR VISITING THE CASINO, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND STOPPING HERE TO EAT.

IN KEEPING WITH THE RADIO THEME, I USE A RATING SCALE OF S-1 (VERY POOR) TO S-9 (EXCELLENT). I GIVE THE PINE TREE GRILL A RATING OF S-9.  WELL WORTH THE DESIGNATION OF “LET’S GO EAT” APPROVED.
