Winter has Arrived.....

Hi Again Everyone, Well here it is Jan 13th and Winter has finally arrived with some Snow (booooooooooo) I could have gone all winter without it but it is what it is.....We got 4.5 inches overnite. Well now that Winter is meteorologically half over we'll see what the rest brings......Gary

Got Sad News this week......

Hi Everyone,

I just found out this week that I'm Type 2 Diabetic.....When I got this news I wasn't thrilled and I didn't take it well. That being said I was angry and feeling that Life as I knew it was over. I took it out on the Medical professional who gave me the bad news. This I shouldn't have done as it wasn't her fault. I 'm reaping what I have eaten over the last few years and it is coming home to roost. It is now time to pay the Piper so to speak. I now have to test my blood sugar level 3 times a day and keep a log of it. I now also have to watch what I eat and when I eat it. I think the biggest problem is the fact that I now need to lose about 20 lbs minimum. That means I now need to go for a walk at least three times a week. After being on my feet all day at work the last thing I want to is go for a walk. I am still trying to come to grips with this as this was a lot of info to digest.....on Monday the 9th my Blood Sugar level was 407 today the 13th my last reading was 116.....I've made some adjustments since Monday......and there seem to be a big difference ....I'll keep ya posted as how things progress.......type at ya later......OH While I'm at it I hearby Publicly apologize to my Medical professional for the way I treated her and If she reads this I hope she understands things from My perspective.......
