Chow Time with Let's Go Eat
Hi all, here is another installment of Chow
Time with Let’s Go Eat.
Tonight we review Cooper’s Hawk Winery &
Restaurant. It is located at 15 S. Moorland Rd. Brookfield , Wi.
The Cooper’s Hawk concept includes four
distinct components: an upscale casual dining restaurant, full-service bar,
private barrel-aging room, and Napa-style tasting room and retail gift
store…all under one roof. Each Cooper’s Hawk location is distinctive in layout
and décor, but carries the same warmth and elegance that guests have come to
expect. Prices are medium to low-pricey. What I mean by that is between $10 and
$35. Drink prices are dependant on what you order. Wine starts at about $6 a
glass, Wine can be gotten by the bottle too.
Beer is $5 to $6.50 depending on what you order. Cocktails start at
$9.25, but they aren’t your typical short cocktail glasses, these are tall
water glass type glasses. Reservations aren’t required but recommended. The
staff are courteous, attentive and friendly.
We started with an appetizer called “
Which consisted
of Southwest Chicken, Corn and Black
Bean Relish, Cilantro, Cheese, wrapped in a tortilla. It was served with
Tomatillo Salsa, Cilantro Ranch Dressing, Cashew Dipping Sauce, Asian Slaw.
There are six of them on a platter great for sharing.
I had the Crabcakes (there are Four good
sized cakes) which were served with Betty’s Potatoes, Garlic Green Beans in a
mustard sauce. I also had two cocktails called
the “ Southern Hooch” if your
driving I wouldn’t have more than one….
Karen had the BBQ Ranch Chicken Salad, which looks like it
could feed two. She also had a glass of Blueberry wine.
Karen’s Mom had the Gnocchi with Braised
Fennel and Herb Ricotta Dolce. She also Had a Cooper’s Hawk Bloody Mary..
Desserts are available but we chose not to
get any as we were elegantly sufficed.

In keeping with a radio theme ratings are as
follows S-1 very poor to S-9 Excellent….I give Cooper’s Hawk Winery &
Restaurant an S-9. I would also say
that they are a place worthy of a “Let’s Go Eat” approved. Until Next time
